2025.13.10 Maya Cosulich Launched And Soon To Begin Operations In Singapore For TFG Marine

The Fratelli Cosulich Group’s Maya Cosulich, a 7,990 DWT methanol dual-fuel IMO II chemical bunker tanker, was officially launched at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. this week and will shortly make its way to Singapore to begin operations under time charter with TFG Marine.

This marks the culmination of a collaborative project that began in 2023, representing another important step in the development of low-emission bunkering solutions for one of the world’s busiest ports.

Designed by SeaTech Solutions International (SSI), the Maya Cosulich features diesel-electric propulsion, onboard battery storage, and two mass flow meters (MFMs). Fully compliant with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) methanol bunkering standards, the vessel is among the first methanol dual-fuel bunker tankers to operate in the Port of Singapore, setting a new benchmark for safe and efficient delivery of alternative marine fuels in the region.

Kenneth Dam, Head of Bunkering at TFG Marine, said: “The delivery of the Maya Cosulich is excellent news for TFG Marine and for the Singapore bunkering market. Its addition to our fleet further strengthens our ability to offer customers a reliable and transparent supply of marine fuels, while supporting the industry’s transition towards low-carbon alternatives. Singapore continues to be at the forefront of bunkering innovation and we’re proud to play a leading role in that journey.”

Guido Cardullo, Head of Marine Energy at the Fratelli Cosulich Group, added: “Maya Cosulich represents our commitment to innovation and collaboration in the energy transition. Together with TFG Marine and our partners, we are demonstrating that sustainable solutions can go hand-in-hand with operational excellence. This vessel is not just a new addition to our fleet, but it’s a symbol of our vision for the future of bunkering in Singapore and beyond.”

The Maya Cosulich delivery reflects the close collaboration between TFG Marine, the Cosulich Group, the MPA and the technical and shipyard teams who have brought this innovative vessel to life. Together, we are demonstrating how the maritime industry can combine operational excellence with tangible progress toward decarbonisation.

As the vessel prepares to enter service, the Maya Cosulich stands as a further example of the industry’s evolution, and proof that the transition to cleaner fuels is not only possible but already underway.
