Digitalisation and Mass Flow Meters: Paving the Way for Transparency in Bunkering
“Digitalisation — including the adoption of mass flow meters — is essential for increasing transparency and efficiency across the bunkering industry, and for enabling a successful transition to the fuels of the future.
For ports and regions to remain competitive and to continue attracting bunker customers, embracing digitalisation is no longer optional. Those that fail to evolve will inevitably lose ground to forward-looking ports that do.”
That was the key message from Kenneth Dam, Global Head of Bunkering at TFG Marine, speaking on the Commercial Challenges and Opportunities in Marine Fuel Supply panel at the ship.energy Maritime Week Africa 2025 conference in Mauritius this week.
“TFG Marine and our local partners Groupe Roland Maurel Ltée are encouraged by the signals from local authorities in Mauritius which suggest a strong intent to implement the regulatory changes needed to position the country as a future leader in Africa’s marine fuel supply market” he added.
